Chapter Twelve: The Appearance of Sassy Gee

Hello! I hope you liked our little interlude visiting with the Brewster family. Now it's time to get back to the Ways. Last chapter was a bit Mikey-centric so I tried to focus a bit more on Gee this time. When we left off, Mikey still wasn't good friends with Keisha. But he did find out she's with Oscar, figure out his purpose in life (which I still can't get over), and started a friendship and maybe more with Keisha's younger sister Latrice.

Mikey's thinking scary thoughts again. But maybe that's because...

...it's not Vicky that calls for a date this time. Exactly at midnight (Aww!) Cherry calls Gee for a date.

And it's at the most underrated, beautiful (and my favourite) place in Riverview, Riverwalk Park. So obviously immediately she is my favourite Sim ever 'cause she has TASTE.

I mean, just look at how romantic this shot is. You couldn't get one like this any other place.

Nevermind...
At first I was seriously freaking out thinking she was accusing him of cheating and I was racking my brain trying to think of any time he accepted Vicky's flirting. Then I managed to flail and pause it during my freak out and mouse over the interaction and it said "Listen to Criticism." Huh...
So I don't know if I ever mentioned this before but Cherry shares 2 of Gee's traits so far: Loves the Outdoors and Inappropriate. Maybe it's just really late and her Inappropriate side is showing?
Also, the fact that Gee has two thought bubbles greatly amuses me.

Cherry: *rage mumbling*
Gee: I am. A. PERSON.

*sniffle*

Okay so Gee's completely entitled to have this wish, but it still shocked me. Especially since he would never carry it out autonomously. He has yet to show his Inappropriate side. Like ever according to my knowledge.

But things are all smiles and hugs from then on. Gee does nothing but Family-Oriented actions which is so sweet I might vomit.

Until this happens. Now she's mocking him.
But now that my freak-out is over, I can find this lover's tiff hilarious.

Especially since it brings out the sass in Gee.
YESH. Thank you, Cherry!

Of course, Gee gets his revenge with thinly-veiled insults in the midst of polite conversation. I love catty Gee.

Cherry's so allured by his cattiness, the flirting begins.
Cherry: You're so adorable when you're being petty.

Glad to see Gee's ego is part of the equation. This is him flirting. Talking about his muscularity.

Cherry goes to leave and go sleep, but Gee stops her. He's not ready to give up the romantic setting. Aww! (I'm not usually one for romance but these two have me whipped)

This has now become a staple of their conversations. Maybe it's an inside joke now?

So while Cherry vents again, let's check out what's going on around town.

There's really no activity around town right now, but the graveyard behind Cherry and Gee is a hip place to be. Grave-haunting and being disgusted by each other really add to a party.

I come back to see they've quieted down for now. Good thing, too, because it's almost 5:00.
Gee decides to head home and gets small satisfaction knowing that Cherry's eyes are on him the whole time.

As the sun starts to brighten the sky, Gee starts the short drive home and Cherry soon follows.

I don't know if I've ever mentioned where Cherry and Ari and Lydia live in relation to the Ways. See that house in the background on the left end of the street that has all the balconies? That's their household. And that car you see in the distance is Cherry arriving home. They literally live right down the street.

Gee smiles while eating his early-morning breakfast of autumn salad. It's nice to see him this happy.

Then housework ruins it.

A few hours later, Mikey rises blearily. I probably look like this, too, in the morning. Except, ya know, my hair looks like I've been through a mudslide tornado.

Then, filled with determination, he quits his job.
Okay, so I goofed it and forgot the wish was to Get Fired and not quit. So I had him join the mausoleum job again and he's back at the beginning. Doesn't matter, though, 'cause he's just gonna skip it until he gets fired.

This morning they get sent 2 packages. I'm assuming the basket of eggs is Latrice's gift. It just seems like a Latrice thing. And obviously the fishing scene is Cherry's because she knows how much Gee loves the outdoors and fishing and shares that love.

The basket of eggs goes by Vicky's gift and the fishing scene goes over Gee's bed.

Keisha is coming home with Mikey again, but he decides to just not get on the bus. Huh. I guess he really really wants to do that Boiler Room opportunity at the school.

She gets to their house, starts to read Murder in Pleasantview, then as soon as Gee leaves for work she's out the door heading to her own house.

After Mikey's done fixing the boiler, I send him over to the Brewsters to make up for him abandoning Keisha.

Mikey: Should I tell her I flirted with Latrice?
Also Mikey: NO! Noyoucan't!

Instead, Mikey goes outside to do his homework and Keisha follows.

Keisha: Ugh. I hate the world. Can't that just be my answer to question 3?

Mikey: Hey, yeah! I wonder why we don't have a textbook on collective misanthropy... You should seriously write one. I'd take that class.

Mikey: Totally writing that as my answer to question 3.
Keisha: *coy/fake giggles*

And with that, finally FINALLY Mikey fulfills that wish of being Good Friends.

Mikey: OH THANK THE HEAVENS
