Chapter Eleven: Brewster Shot

Hello again! Last time Vicky kept sending Gee "secret" admirer gifts, Mikey got promoted to Overseer of the Dead and was so horrified with the training he immediately wanted to get fired, Keisha was...confusing, and Gee tried to fend off Vicky once again. A lot happening now and boy does it get better.

It's the weekend, but Mikey wakes up in a foul mood. Don't let the thought bubble fool you.
I think it's because he's scared there's another "present" in the mailbox.
But THEN...

Mikey the Slob picking up newspapers? What's going on here?

And an autonomous, if not gloomy and reluctant, bath? Some thing's clearly in the works.

Poor Gee. Three of his plants became barren during this gardening session. Here he is sobbing over one of them. :(

Obviously someone has replaced Mikey with a replicant because I can't believe what I've been seeing. I can hardly ever even get my non-Neat Sims to clean up on their own, much less a SLOB!

...Oh.

OH.
Mikey: Gee's left for work. So you know what that means... *eyebrow waggle*

Eh. If it'll finally make her your good friend so we can move on then go for it, brah.

NO MIKEY NO!

Keisha is pissed. And rightfully horrified. Mikey, why?!

Clearly Mikey's tired of Keisha's behaviour. And now their relationship's even worse. Thank you, Mikey. I don't know whether to be proud or exasperated.
(Once again, just as a reminder, almost everything Mikey and Gee do is autonomous. I rarely step in. So whatever happens is their own doing, not me directing them.)

That night, Mikey dreams of marriage again. Not with the way you're goin' bud.
Buuuut maybe just maybe things will brighten considerably soon.
*FORESHADOWING...*

Our first ray of luck comes from the mailbox the next morning. Nope, there's no packages from Vicky, but some ladybugs have made it their home. Sorry ladybugs, but scientists love you and pay simoleans.

But with luck comes tragedy and yet another plant bites the dust, both metaphorically and quite literally.

I send Mikey over to the Brewsters' house to apologize for his awful behaviour. Notice that girl in the background? That's Keisha's younger sister Latrice and she verbally tackles Mikey before he can step foot in the house. However...

YESH

Just look how happy she is to even be near Mikey!

This is a zoomed out version of that picture. Latrice is rubbing this in Keisha's face and I am loving it.
Despite having many chairs indoors, Keisha decides to do her homework right next to Mikey and Latrice. She brought this on herself.

Ruben comes home and Mikey immediately rolls a wish to become friends with him. Well, well. Latrice has got you brown-nosing now, huh?

Mikey even tells her about his lampshade missile conspiracy theories, and despite barely knowing him Latrice loves it. Aww! I ship them already.

Cora comes home and chaperones again, despite being the youngest sister (I think) and she and Keisha discuss babies. I don't know whether I should be frightened or not.
By the way, if you're wondering about the Brewster family, I got a few screenshots to clear things up:

This is the entire (I think) Brewster family. Of course you've got Ruben and Jasmin, the parents. Then I believe the order goes Dara, Woodrow, Keisha, Cora, then Latrice. Apparently there are two older siblings named Dara and Woodrow, who look like young adults, but I can't be sure of their connection or age unless I actually play that household. I shall tonight and will get back to you on that. I'll even get a nice family photo so you can see how big this family is.

Latrice: Keisha's gonna kill me for stealing Mikey...

Latrice: OH MY GOSH KEISHA IS GOING TO KILL ME
I love Cowards.

More Brewsters appear and Keisha decides she wants Mikey to meet her dad. Just think about it, Ruben and Jasmin work with Gee every day so they've probably heard about Mikey, and Keisha probably complains about him. I just think this situation is adorable.
Also, the Schofields are at it again. Vicky's sister Kimberley is visiting Ruben.

Even Keisha and Mikey share a look when Kim joins the conversation.

NO MIKEY NO!

And then, the source of this recent bold streak is revealed. Mikey -- sweet, cowardly, insane, over-emotional, slobbish Mikey -- wants to be the Emperor of Evil. I... I'm so PROUD! *tear*

With this newfound purpose, the bold streak continues, and Mikey's told off by both Keisha and her father and warned not to make any more trouble. Hehehe...

Perhaps a bit late, Mikey grins sheepishly and waves weakly at Ruben, keeping his friendship with Keisha in mind.

The party moves inside and Keisha completely breaks character and actually flirts with Mikey. Whoa.
It's then I realize since they met when they were kids I've never had him find out her sign or if she's single, something I usually do immediately.

It's then I find out something interesting. I don't know how long this has been going on, but Keisha's in a relationship with their classmate, Oscar Alphender. He was at Mikey's housewarming party. Remember, Mikey, LuLu, and Oscar were bonding and I was glad 'cause Mikey needs friends? Yeah, that Oscar. Also, you can see that their relationship bar is nowhere near the Good Friend mark. Still.

Mikey stays for conversation over Ruben's burnt Tofu Dogs. Notice who's not at the table. :D
Then Mikey bounces back pretty quickly by IMMEDIATELY AUTONOMOUSLY COMPLIMENTING LATRICE'S APPEARANCE. Whaaaaa?

And like the awkward beings they are, they immediately separate and stare off longingly in their respective directions.

A few minutes later, after Mikey's left, Latrice stands in the dark horrified, wondering what exactly she just got herself into.
