Chapter Eighteen: Mikey the Awkward

Last time, we watched Megan and Gee drama unfold, found out Megan is dating an immortal, and finally saw Mikey get asked out on a date that saved my lost day. Let's jump right in and see how that date goes.

Oh, hey! Cory's brother Elisha is here, too.

Apparently something's going down, but Mikey's oblivious.

Mikey: Why can't we be friends?

Well I guess Cory and Elisha have something in common.

Mikey: STOP...in the name of love!
I think Mikey's broken.

You can see how the rest of that date went.

Back at home, Gee decides to take a sponge bath, even with a perfectly good tub right next to him.

And it looks like Gee has finally accepted his bed as his own.

Looks like Anita and Woodrow are getting married! And he got a new haircut just for the occasion!

Early the next morning, Mikey chows down on pizza with the Ways new fly relatives.

I'm guessing things with Latrice are still a little awkward, especially when he stares at one of her gifts like this.

He retires to the bathtub to think this over.

Sameh's caught yet another girl, Patrice Swift. Like the Brewsters, they bond by reading together.

Whoa. If they do end up staying together, they're definitely going to have pretty-eyed children.

After watching a few more hours alternating between this...

...and Mikey yelling at said gifts, I make an executive decision.

Mikey's inviting Latrice over.

He seems a bit nervous, even if he invited two others as well. Ruben Brewster and Cory Farrar, since he still has the wishes locked in to befriend them both.

Latrice is the first to arrive and Mikey's a bit...frazzled

But maybe Latrice is feeling just as awkward?

Ruben shows up shortly after and his face is unnerving.

Though not as unnerving as Cory's obsession with the pretties.

It's not a surprise, considering what's all over her dress, but still. *cringe* That face is gonna haunt me.

Mikey is dealing with all this by hiding in the bathtub. Good job, Mikey.

Latrice does nothing but this for like an hour. Maybe she's wanting to sit on the bathtub?

After obsessing over the pretties, Cory is the first to leave. Thanks, I guess?

Gee happily makes a plate of peanut butter and jelly for everybody else.

But Mikey's too busy making this face. Why?

Because Latrice is across the room. Doing whatever that is...

No, Gee! You're not taking this one away from Mikey, too.

Soon enough she breaks away and this happens. What a loaded look.

She joins her Dad, who's fawning over the pretties as well, to express her disgust of them. How befitting of a Coward.

Cherry calls Gee to talk through wedding plans. They're currently discussing napkin colours.

Gee: What did I get myself into...?
Cherry: What was that, hun?
Gee: Oh, nothing. Nothing.

Then they move on to the still-awkward subject of kids. Gee is 7 days away from being an elder, so it's kind of an urgent subject as well.

And so the last of Gee's plants wither away. :(

I decide to send the Brewsters and Mikey out to go do ANYTHING other than sitting at home, since Mikey won't talk to Latrice. He seems pretty pumped about this.

But maybe he shouldn't be, 'cause Latrice is driving.

Chapter Seventeen: Lost Days and Aiden the Immortal

Last time, I gave real!Megan a birthday surprise with virtual!Megan and Gee gave virtual!Megan a surprise all his own. Let's strap in, grab some popcorn, and watch the drama unfold, shall we?

After that world-blowing kiss, Megan shares a flirtatious joke about it.

But suddenly Gee's engaged and is having none of it even though he just freakin' kissed her... -____-

He looks sad about refusing, though. Megan seems resigned.

She tries again and shouldn't be as surprised as she is to find out that, no, Gee is disgusted at even the thought of flirting with someone else. He's engaged! How dare you? -________-

Megan: WHAT--

Megan: THE HECK...

Poor Megan.

And then he tries to kiss her again.
Megan: HELL NO

Gee: Like ever? Or...

So instead Gee decides to take a nap. At the same time Megan is trying to get to sleep. She would like you to think she's perturbed, but she actually seems pretty pleased with herself.

Uh-oh. Someone's scheming. Or checking Gee out while he sleeps. Either one's possible.

Her scheme ends up being turning some loud indie music on, which doesn't wake Gee up, then:
Megan: Get cho butt outta dat bed!

They share a loaded look before he walks out the door.

Then Megan has a Paranormal Activity moment when she goes to sleep. That...looks painful.

Remember one of the married ladies that tried to flirt with Mikey in the Original Adventures? This is Nadine and in this universe she's with Skip Broke, Gee's boss.

NO GEE. You are NOT thinking of babies outside of Megan's house!

Gee: Fine, fine. Kick me out! *mutters* Didn't wanna go swimming with you anyway...

Even though exhausted, Gee decides, rather than go home, to call his boss. He seems to really consider his sage advice.

Gee, I hope you're telling him about yours and Cherry's inside joke. Otherwise...

Oh, look! Megan's got a visitor. It's a local artist, Billy Caspian. Gee pretends to be entirely invested in his conversation and totally not jealous.

Gee: Oh, yeah. Suuuuuper excited about the someday wedding.
Billy knows better.

However, as soon as Megan gets up to open the door, Billy leaves. Jerk.
Billy: Heh! DING DONG DITCH, LOSERS!
Gee's too busy having an existential crisis to care.

He calls up his boss again for more advice, but the conversation soon uncomfortably turns to Gee's lifetime wish of raising 5 kids.

Awkwardly, he distracts Skip with the latest game stats.

Why is Cora smiling, Latrice terrified, and Keisha indignant?

The Brewsters have all crammed into their tiny 2-person car for a family trip to the local bar. Nice! And Cora's driving.

Gee is now passed out in front of Megan's house. Because he's stupid. And dramatic. She's asleep, too, Gee. That's not gonna get her attention.

Cora's also happy because she is now dating Sameh. Not sure what happened between him and LuLu.

Mikey had sent in the Plutonium he collected to be smelted. When it came back, it was worth around 2,500 simoleans! Hello, bathroom! It's cramped, but at least it's something. Poor Mikey: he has the small room.

Soooooo... I have a confession. I set my game to save and went to deal with the laundry. Usually when I go do laundry a bunch of other stuff follows now that I'm up and walking and before I know it it's been an hour or so of doing housework or helping somebody. So that happened but apparently my game was playing the entire time. Let's just be glad it wasn't my Nesbitts game that I have to micromanage. Because of this, I lost an entire day and have no idea what happened aside from a few things.

Luckily, Mikey got asked out on a date by Janice and that's what paused the game, else I would have lost far more. Also, YES, Mikey got asked out on a date!

Gee also, sometime during the lost day, snuck off to work without passing out because he got a full day's pay. I guess he then came home and climbed in Mikey's bed despite having his own, because that's where he was when the game paused.

Of course, he eventually climbs out of Mikey's bed just to pass out in his own room.

Also during the lost day, Megan got a beau! Somehow, Aiden Jones escaped the age up of the town. Aiden is an original young adult townie who is a high-level doctor. He's supposed to be an elder like his wife and probably would be dead by now if he were, but he escaped my clutches. And now Megan's paying for it. -___-

He shows up to Megan's house with flowers on his mind (maybe a date?) but apparently gets cold feet before she can answer the door. At least he's not a jerk about it like Billy, because he eventually comes back later and I think gets in.

Next time, we'll see how Mikey's date goes.
Will Megan tear Gee and Cherry apart? And what about his affair with Megan? Will Aiden tear that apart? Will they both stay with their partners or leave them for each other? Only time will tell.
